With the development of intelligent manufacturing, 5G, automatic drive, artificial intelligence, accompanied with the disappearing of demographic bonus, robots not only replace human beings in military field, service industry, entertainment space, but also displace workers by a wide margin in manufacturing, which will further drive the robot industry. In the environment where opportunities and challenges coexist, it is an urgent problem for domestic robot manufacturers to break through the "import monopoly" and "technical barriers".

Robot industry chain includes upstream raw materials, core components, entity manufacturing and system integration. Among them, the core components are the most important part of industrial robots, and they are also the core technical barriers of robots.

As we all know, intelligent robot is a mechatronic product, which consists of three parts and six subsystems. The three parts are mechanical part, sensing part and control part. The six subsystems are driving system, mechanical structure system, control system, human-machine interaction system, sensory system and robot-environment interaction system.

Motor plays a crucial role in the industrial chain of intelligent robot, and robot joint is one of the components used in robot arm. With the wide application range of robot joints, the robot arm needs  to be upgraded urgently, which also puts forward higher requirements for motors. There are common problems existing in now available robot arms and motors such as too many specifications, small batch, poor universality of parts, high cost, unstable quality and reliability. The range of tasks that a robot arm can accomplish is limited by its own mechanical structure. Using deceleration motor to optimize the structure of robot arm is one of the key technologies to solve this problem.
